International Students Education
Northeast Agricultural University established Foreign Affairs Office in 1986. In 1997, International Department was set up under Foreign Affairs Office, and later in 1999, Northeast Agricultural University established International Exchanges Office, including Foreign Affairs Office and International Cultural and EducationalCollege.
The university insists on open education. Since 1990s, it has established the cooperative relationships with Khabarovsk State Technical University (Russia), and Far East State Technical Fishery University (Khabarovsk, Russia). The university has also signed the Joint-Educational Agreements with Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE ( Australia), Southern Queensland University( Australia), University College of Cork( Ireland), University of Michigan(USA). There are 172 students enrolled in Sino-Russia Joint-Educational Project, with 67 foreign students; 100 students attend Sino-Australia Joint-Educational Project.
Continuing Education
Based on 20 full-time undergraduate programs, Adult Education College, Northeast Agricultural University develops education of various forms and levels, such as Self-study Examination Aiding-class, Expert and Technician Continuous Education of Enterprise, Civil Servant¡¯s Training and other short-term or practical technology training programs. So far, the Universityhas enrolled 11448 students in Distance Education and 2440 students in Adult Education.
Vocational Education
Vocational and TechnicalCollege, Northeast Agricultural University sets up 5 higher vocational majors, such as Agricultural Education and Gardening Education. In 2003, the title of Applied Technical College came into being, testing to establish applied undergraduate programs.
Private Education
Chengdong College of Northeast Agricultural University was founded in May, 2002, which was approved by the People¡¯s Government of Heilongjiang Province. It was verified to be an IndependentCollege by Ministry of Education in Feb, 2004. The college started to recruit students in 2002. In 2008, it plans to recruit students from 21 provinces, taking 25 programs. Meanwhile, the college signed the Joint-Educational Agreements with Napier University (UK), developing Bachelor-Master Combined Programs.
